Hero Pic
- Upload/insert a hero pic/image as the first element of the article, before any article text.
- Depending on the nature of the article, writers can also put a headline content before the hero pic. This is subject to CorpComm's consideration/perception.
- The hero pic should be representative of what the article is about.
DOST-ASTI and other acronyms
- Use DOST-Advanced Science and Technology Institute (DOST-ASTI) instead of Advanced Science and Technology Institute (ASTI).
- Use DOST-ASTI instead of ASTI.
- For other DOST agencies follow the same rule, i.e. DOST-PAGASA, DOST-PCIEERD, DOST Region I, DOST Region II, etc.
- On the first mention of any acronym in the article, use the complete title and establish the acronym of all entities. Writers may then use the acronym afterwards for the rest of the article, i.e. Philippine Earth Data Resource and Observation (PEDRO) Center and then PEDRO for the rest of the article.
R&D Project
- Use “R&D project” instead of just “project”, i.e.
- Instead of
- Established under the Philippine Earth Data Resource and Observation (PEDRO) Center project, …
- Use

Opening Pages / Browser Tabs
- In the article, set hyperlink behavior with regard to opening the page in the browser to:
- Internal hyperlinks, i.e. those links within asti.dost.gov.ph
- Should open on the same browser tab.
- In this case you may just copy-paste the “asti.dost.gov.ph/…“ link and use it as is.
- External hyperlinks, i.e. those links outside of asti.dost.gov.ph
- Should open on a new browser tab
- You can enable the external hyperlinks to open in a new tab by changing the target window of the link when attaching it to the word/s. Simply click insert link button in the toolbar and an action box will pop. Change the target from “None” to “New window”.
- For more info please refer to
- Internal hyperlinks, i.e. those links within asti.dost.gov.ph
