Experience : One (1) year of experience in the same capacity

Job Overview:

  • Establish physical servers to house the future applications developed in the project;
  • Able to gather software requirements to develop the tools in handling the data generated by the lightning sensors;
  • Shall be able then to design, integrate, prototype, implement, and maintain this tool for the project;

Under general supervision and direction, HE/SHE shall perform the following:

  • Set-up of servers for application development and deployment of application;
  • Visualization tool development
  • Quality Assurance Testing
  • R&D local development of lightning weather sensor based on study with Japan experts
  • Field work to deploy and observe lightning sensors deployed in Metro Manila
  • Work with Technical Working Group (TWG) with PAGASA regarding requirements gathering and to their complement the system;
  • Technical documentation of both software and hardware development requirements for ISO compliance;
  • Integration of hardware data into a visualization tool for data sharing development;
  • Prototype of software that will carry lightning data for viewing for data sharing;
  • Implement data sharing software that will carry lightning data for viewing;
  • Document technical R&D developments in the areas of software development for the project;
  • Attend and when necessary be able to present at scheduled meetings regarding software activities regarding the project;
  • Attend regular project meetings as scheduled by the Project Administrator or Project Support Administration regarding the project status, coordination meeting etc.;
  • Present when necessary technical updates regarding the project to Joint Coordinating Committee (JCC) meetings, stakeholder meetings etc.
