POSITION TITLE :

Project Technical Assistant V

SALARY GRADE :

SG 14

LOCATION:  Diliman, Quezon City
JOB QUALIFICATIONS :
Education : Bachelor's Degree in any IT related course such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent
Experience : One (1) year relevant experience
Training : Four (4) hours of relevant training
Eligibility : None required
Other Requirements :
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle stages and the processes under each stage
  • Knowledge of any Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) language and concepts
  • Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
  • Experienced in code versioning tools such as Git, SVN, etc.
  • Experience working with technologies such as: Java, Springboot, MVC frameworks, MongoDB or CouchDB or any NoSQL database is a major plus
  • Knowledge of web services and Application Programming Interface (API) development is a major plus
  • Must have at least satisfactory knowledge in using Microsoft Windows and any Linux operating system
  • Must have a keen eye for detail; good analytical skills, can criticize own work; good in benchmarking and optimization
  • Can work with minimal supervision
  • Must be a team player, communicator, adaptable and self-motivated
  • Must be willing to work in Quezon City
Duties and Responsibilities:

Under general supervision and direction, HE/SHE shall perform the following:

  • Build web apps, APIs, and data solutions to drive projects;
  • Ensure that the web applications are kept working in an efficient manner. This can include fixing any issues with the system implementation and design, software, and application security;
  • Continuous improvement of current project and approaches;
  • Perform hands-on programming tasks, such as feature development, bug fixing, testing across multiple browsers/platforms;
  • Advocate for best practices, coding W3C standards, great usability, and exceptional quality, with awareness of client needs and priorities;
  • Proactively collaborate with other team members in delivering software requirements;
  • Update system as soon as recent version of Operating System and/or application software comes out;
  • Produce system's manuals and technical documentation;
  • Stay up to date with recent technological trends.
