POSITION TITLE : Project Technical Assistant I


DIVISION: Computer Software Division
Education : Bachelor’s/College Degree of any IT related course such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
Experience : None required
Training : None required
Eligibility : None required
Other Requirements :
  • Understanding of the generic Software Development Lifecycle stages and the processes under each stage
  • Hand-coding HTML, Javascript, and CSS W3C standards compliant (recent graduates with a strong portfolio will also be considered)
  • Knowledgeable in one or more of the following technologies
    • Java EE / Java Spring Boot / Python
    • ASP / PHP / JS
  • Experience in graphics optimization for use on the web, jQuery or other Javascript frameworks, JEE, JSF, and ReactJS is a plus
  • Knowledge in working with remote data via REST and JSON is a plus
  • Knowledge of web services and API development is a plus
  • Experience in code versioning tool such as GIT
  • Knowledge in database management system, SQL and No-SQL databases
  • Must be a team player, communicator, adaptable and self-motivated
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Quezon City.
  • Good communication skills
  • Can work with minimal supervision
Duties and Responsibilities:

Under general supervision and direction, HE/SHE shall perform the following:

  • Designing user interaction models, workflows and user interfaces;
  • Collaborating with business analyst and back-end developers to define the user experience;
  • Perform hands-on programming tasks, such as prototyping, feature development, bug fixing, testing across multiple browsers/platforms;
  • Advocate for best practices, coding W3C standards, great usability and exceptional quality, with awareness of client needs and priorities;
  • Design and implement web applications;
  • Translate exchange specifications and build systems' prototype;
  • Produce system's manuals and technical documentation;
  • Ensure system features behave according to specifications by conducting unit test, integration test and regression test;
  • Pushing the boundaries of what's possible to create better experiences for our users;
  • Handle minor task tickets which may be specific to software programmer, software tester, or business analyst;
  • Proactively collaborate with other team members in delivering software requirements;
  • Report to work on time.
