The Advanced Remote Data Acquisition unit (arQ) is a data logging solution that currently serves as the controller for the remote monitoring stations such as AWS, ARG, WLMS currently deployed nationwide.
The Advanced Remote Data-Acquisition unit (arQ) is a low power device that can store, record, acquire, and process data gathered from various sensors, including but not limited to air pressure, air temperature, air humidity, wind speed and direction, rain amount, rain duration, rain intensity among others. The device gathers data automatically without human intervention while data transmission is done through the use of GSM/GPRS and/or Satellite. With proper configuration, the said device can also be used in other applications depending on the type of sensor to be integrated. It can also be used to control other remote electronic devices or systems. The arQ is used for all derivative stations deployed by DOST-ASTI.
