The Department of Science and Technology – Advanced Science and Technology Institute (DOST-ASTI) has successfully renewed its ISO 9001:2015 Certification for its Quality Management System (QMS), reaffirming its commitment to delivering world-class standards in service and operational excellence.

The certification was awarded by TÜV Rheinland during the 2025 DOST-ASTI Culminating Event: From Today’s Milestones to Tomorrow’s Innovations held on 12 December 2025 at the Cocoon Boutique Hotel in Quezon City.

Representing the Institute in receiving the certificate were DOST-ASTI Director Franz A. de Leon, Quality Management Representative Paul John M. Serrano, and members of the Knowledge Management Unit.

“One of our goals has always been to strengthen our processes and ensure that our QMS truly supports the way we work every day. I’m happy to say that we’ve achieved this by improving coordination across units, addressing risks more proactively, and making our system easier for everyone to understand and follow. This certification is a clear reflection of that progress,” Serrano said.

He emphasized that ISO 9001:2015 Certification is not a one-time achievement but a continuous journey that demands consistency, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

The recertification followed a comprehensive audit conducted by TÜV Rheinland on 18–19 September 2025, covering DOST-ASTI’s processes in delivering ICT and electronics technology solutions through research and development, technology transfer, and science and technology services.

The renewed ISO 9001:2015 certificate is valid until 14 November 2028, subject to annual surveillance audits.

As DOST-ASTI moves forward, the Institute assures its stakeholders that it will continue to uphold the highest standards of quality and efficiency—driving quality forward in serving the Filipino people through science and technology.
