DOST-ASTI recognized by GFMIC as Outstanding eNGAS and eBudget User, Collaborator/Contributor
The Department of Science and Technology-Advanced Science and Technology Institute (DOST-ASTI) has once again proven its excellence in financial management after receiving two major awards from the Government Financial Management Innovators Circle (GFMIC), Inc.: the Outstanding eNGAS and eBudget System User-Entity Award and the eNGAS Collaborator/Contributor Award for Calendar Year 2025.
The recognition was conferred during GFMIC’s 16th Annual National Convention and 2025 Membership Conference held in Tagbilaran City, Bohol, from 23 to 26 September 2025. Accepting the awards on behalf of DOST-ASTI was Ms. May C. Cayaban, Chief Administrative Officer of the Institute’s Finance and Administrative Division (FAD).

The Institute has consistently demonstrated proactive issue resolution and exceptional system utilization, resulting in improvements in efficiency and productivity across its finance teams. Beyond compliance, DOST-ASTI has also played an active role as collaborator and contributor by engaging regularly with the Commission on Audit and the Department of Budget and Management to identify challenges, provide constructive feedback, and propose refinements that benefit the wider community of system users.

The awards highlight DOST-ASTI’s outstanding utilization of the Electronic New Government Accounting System (eNGAS) and the Electronic Budget System (eBudget), two key financial management systems used by government agencies to ensure accuracy, transparency, and accountability in fiscal operations.

This is the second consecutive year that DOST-ASTI has received both distinctions, underscoring the Institute’s consistent dedication to upholding transparency and efficiency in government financial management.
