To strengthen the merit and rewards system in the government, the CSC administers an annual nationwide Honor Awards Program (HAP) through the annual Search for Outstanding Government Workers. HAP seeks to recognize and reward state officials and employees for their outstanding contributions and achievements in government service.
Dr. Marciano was also chosen to deliver the awardees' responsorial message.
I'm sure, many of us have similar stories of how to trust in our abilities and [how it] carry us forwardto hopefully inspire others to have confident in themsemselves and to contribute to collective and common good.
"We look forward to continuing this job, continuing to perform as best as we can. The task that is before us is to use this platform to inspire and motivate others, not necessarily to attain similar recognition but to find common purpose and reiterate that purpose to public service. Public service is for public good, and we all should have this longer-term vision of making impact, apply our training, and make sure it is translated into services that benefit the country. With limited resources, we are asked to do a lot more. It doesn't end here. We'll report to work everyday and do even a better job and inspire others to also be in the same platform [and in turn] inspire others, too," he ended.
Also among the honorees was the Irradiation Services Team of the Philippine Nuclear Research Institute. Congratulations to the Department of Science and Technology!
HAP is for recognition of a job well done, and a job that is done right. Congratulations to all the regional awardees. Congratulations, DOST-ASTI!
