On February 17, 2018, Filipino students will directly communicate with the International Space Station (ISS). The live contact was organized by the PHL-Microsat Program and co-implemented by UP Diliman and the Department Of Science and Technology- Advanced Science and Technology Institute (DOST-ASTI) to spread knowledge on space science and technology, and inspire more students to pursue studies in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

The event will be participated by high school students from the University of the Philippines Integrated School and the Holy Angel University in Pampanga. Through this activity, students will be able to experience communicating directly with astronauts on board the International Space Station using radio communication.

This milestone event, which will be held at the UP EEEI - Meralco Innovation Hall in Diliman, Quezon City will be shared to the public via live streaming on DOST-ASTI's Official website.
