DOST-ASTI receives Seal of Registration from the National Privacy Commission
The DOST-Advanced Science and Technology Institute (DOST-ASTI) recently received a Seal of Registration from the National Privacy Commission (NPC) for its Data Protection Officer (DPO) and active Data Processing Systems.
The agency renewed its registration with the NPC through the newly launched National Privacy Commission Registration System portal, in compliance with NPC Circular No. 2022-04.
“This seal of registration is a mark of DOST-ASTI’s continuous efforts to comply with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and to establish an organizational culture that is protective of personal data,” expressed DOST-ASTI DPO Paul John M. Serrano.
He added that the agency wants to level up the confidence of its partners and clients by putting data privacy policies in place and by promoting ‘privacy by design’ in DOST-ASTI's R&D projects and services.
The DOST-ASTI’s Seal of Registration is valid until 13 April 2024.
