As part of our initiatives to improve our service delivery, the Computing and Archiving Research Environment (COARE) has set up its Data Catalog to store and publish research datasets for the utilization of the scientific community. The COARE Data Catalog is openly accessible to the public, and may serve as an integral resource for interested academics, data analysts, scientists, and other scholars from diverse domains.
Because the COARE Data Catalog collects personal data from its users, the COARE Data Catalog Privacy Notice assures every user of this website that their data shall be protected to the best ability of the COARE Team. This Privacy Notice communicates how the COARE (through the COARE Data Catalog) may collect information about its users and this website’s visitors and how these information may be used by the COARE Team to improve the COARE Data Catalog’s overall service delivery.

Any information that the COARE or the COARE Team will collect from its users and from the COARE Data Catalog’s visitors shall be used primarily to give the website administrators some useful data on the website usage and activities of users. Such information will only be used for the said purpose. Rest assured that the information collected from users will not be used for marketing nor commercial purposes.
Website Analytics
The COARE Data Catalog uses Matomo Analytics, an open source web analytics application, to track and analyze its website traffic. Should a user visit the COARE Data Catalog, the analytics gather and process the following information:
