Data Policy

The COARE Data Policy outlines all the data-related policies and procedures concerning COARE and is implemented to ensure that all data generated, analyzed, processed, and stored in and through COARE will only be related to research and scientific studies. These data should comply with the existing data policies implemented by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and the government of the Philippines. The COARE Data Policy also describes the responsibilities of the COARE Team in managing all data stored in COARE.

The COARE Data Policy also incorporates the COARE Data Classification Guidelines and the COARE End User License Agreement.

The current version (version 7.1) of the COARE Data Policy document contains the following information/provisions:

  • Data-related Policies for the COARE Science Cloud service
  • Data-related Policies for the COARE Data Archiving Service

• COARE’s Data Classification Guidelines
• COARE's End User License Agreement (EULA)

The COARE Data Policy is created with the guidance of DOST's Intellectual Property Policy and its related amendment
