Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS)

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (DOST-PHIVOLCS) leads the development of the integrated database system for hazard and risk assessment through the implementation of the Geospatial Information Management and Analysis Project for Hazards and Risk Assessment in the Philippines (GeoRiskPH). As the agency mandated to study hazards that are related to earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and other related information, the DOST-PHIVOLCS collaborates with the DOST-ASTI's COARE in establishing a comprehensive set of risk information through database, GIS, and IT systems that are related, but not limited to hazard and risk assessments in the Philippines.
