The Department of Agriculture (DA) is mandated to ensure food security and food staples sufficiency in the country. With the support of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (UN) and in collaboration with the DOST-ASTI's COARE, PEDRO Center, and DATOS Project, the DA utilizes protocols employing remote sensing data and geospatial analysis in implementing its present initiatives on climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction management in the agriculture sector.
