POSITION TITLE : Science Research Specialist I/Software Developer
SALARY GRADE : SG-13

JOB QUALIFICATIONS :
Education : Bachelor's/College Degree of any IT related course such as Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.
Experience : None required
Training : None required
Eligibility : None required
Other Requirements :
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree of any IT related course such as Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.
  • Understanding of SDLC
  • Hand-coding HTML, Javascript, and CSS W3C standards compliant (recent graduates with a strong portfolio will also be considered)
  • One of the following technologies – Java EE/ .NET
  • Web technologies – HTML / ASP / PHP / JS
  • Experience in graphics optimization for use on the web, jQuery or other javascript frameworks, JEE, JSF, and Angular JS is a plus
  • Must be a team player, communicator, adaptable and self-motivated
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Quezon City.
  • Proficient in Object Oriented Programming using Java
  • Knowledge in Java EE platform and Spring framework is an advantage
  • Good communication skills
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general supervision and direction, HE/SHE shall perform the following:

  • Designing user interaction models, workflows and user interfaces;
  • Collaborating with business analyst and back-end developers to define the user experience;
  • Perform hands-on programming tasks, such as prototyping, feature development, bug;
  • fixing, testing across multiple browsers/platforms;
  • Advocate for best practices, coding W3C standards, great usability and exceptional quality, with awareness of client needs and priorities;
  • Design and implement web applications;
  • Translate exchange specifications and build systems' prototype;
  • Produce system's manuals and technical documentation;
  • Ensure system features behave according to specifications by conducting unit test, integration test and regression test;
  • Pushing the boundaries of what's possible to create better experiences for our users; and
  • Finally, but importantly, help make work fun!
