DILIMAN, QUEZON CITY – DOST-ASTI's AKS/ON Project completed its User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on 17 June 2026 to validate the system's functionalities and gather feedback from participating government agencies, including the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

The Agility-enabling Knowledge-based System for Organizational Needs (AKS/ON) Project is designed to improve government service delivery by streamlining internal processes, enhancing issue resolution, and enabling more informed decision-making. 

Project Leader Ms. Girlie D. Fernandez shared that AKS/ON  began as a request management system for technical support within DOST-ASTI's Management Information Systems (MIS) Unit in 2021, before it was formalized as project to expand its services to accommodate incidents, problems, and change requests across the Institute. 

During the UAT, the project team demonstrated the system’s features and facilitated hands-on testing sessions, enabling the participants to validate system functionalities and provide recommendations for improvement through a validation document. 

The event concluded with a discussion on the project’s way forward, including the formalization of partnerships through memorandum of agreement as well as the hardware and software requirements for implementing the system in partner agencies. 

AKS/ON marks a significant step toward project implementation, highlighting DOST-ASTI's commitment to developing innovative digital solutions that enhance organizational efficiency and public service delivery – not just within the Institute, but across government.
