    The following job vacancies are project-based: 

     

    SCIENCE RESEARCH SPECIALIST II (System Administrator)

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Monitor network and system performance.
    • Plan, coordinate and implement network security measure.
    • Gather data pertaining to the Project's needs, and use the information to identify, predict, interpret, and evaluate system and network requirements.
    • Research new technology, and implement it or recommend its implementation.
    • Confer with end users on how to resolve existing system problems.
    • Train users in the use of the CoARE Facility pertaining to network and server administration
    • Maintain and analyze logs related to network functions to facilitate planning and maintenance
    • Prepare technical documents which are required by the Project.
    • Participate in events and other activities (e.g., exhibits, meetings, and seminars) necessary in the implementation of the Project.
    • Carry out other tasks as may be required by the Project.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or the like.
    • Preferably with one (1) year experience.
    • Proficient in using Linux operating systems.
    • Knowledgeable in scripting BASH, PERL, PYTHON, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, IPSEC
    • Team player
    • With good communication skills
    • Can work under minimal supervision
    • Applicants must be willing to work in Quezon City.

     

    SCIENCE RESEARCH SPECIALIST II (Developer)

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Identify, create and define the application requirements of the Project, and define data structures and application solutions for these.
    • Code, test, and perform unit test plan for applications that will be developed under the Project.
    • Design and build prototypes and designs and integrate with the CoARE platform.
    • Develop test plans and application guides for deployed applications.
    • Participate and assist in application architecture functions.
    • Implement and adhere to standard IT best practices in SDLC.
    • Research new technology, and implement it or recommend its implementation.
    • Prepare technical documents which are required by the Project.
    • Participate in events and other activities (e.g., exhibits, meetings, and seminars) necessary in the implementation of the Project.
    • Carry out other tasks as may be required by the Project. 

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in any IT-related course.
    • Preferably with one (1) year experience.
    • Proficient in using Linux operating systems.
    • Knowledgeable in CSS, PYTHON, PHP, PERL, RUBY, MySQL.
    • Team player
    • With good communication skills
    • Can work under minimal supervision
    • Applicants must be willing to work in Quezon City.
